December, 2011:
Get your "first rate eating doings" Saturday, Dec 31st, and help us celebrate
Sam Houston (first President of the Republic of Texas) as he dined in our farm house at a supper celebrating the marriage of James Smith's son Alfred,
170 years ago on Saturday, Dec 24, 1841!
Alfred had supervised the building of the (now BCF) farm house
over the winter of 1840/1841.
(For details click on "History of the Farm" on the menu at left.)

1930's porch replaced original 1840's wide porch that held many rocking chairs.

Recent rains depart with a beautiful farewell.
