About the event

Step into Austin’s past and present at Historic Boggy Creek Farm—home to one of the city’s oldest homes and a thriving urban farm. This guided tour shares the story of the 1841 farmhouse, the land, and the people who shaped it.

Guests are guided through the grounds surrounding the historic home, hearing its history while learning how the site has evolved from an early Texas homestead into a working five-acre regenerative urban farm. The tour continues into the fields, where visitors gain insight into how food is grown using sustainable practices that support soil health and seasonal production.

More than a historic site, Boggy Creek Farm remains a living, working landscape—connecting Austin’s past to its present through agriculture and community. Tours conclude at the onsite farmstand (open Wed–Sat, 8 a.m.–1 p.m.), where guests can purchase fresh, seasonal produce grown just steps away.
